Refusal support for students referred through UBC's Concierge Program.
Immigrate Now is the sole immigration representation provider for refused study-permit applicants referred through the University of British Columbia's Concierge Program.

How to understand the scope
The Concierge Program is a relationship between Immigrate Now/Sunrise Group and the University of British Columbia. It is limited in scope in ways that are important to state clearly.
- Support is for refused study-permit applicants who are referred through the program.
- It is not UBC's general immigration representation arrangement.
- This page is informational and does not create eligibility or permit self-referral.
Who the program is for
The program is intended for admitted or offered UBC students whose Canadian study-permit application has been refused and who UBC identifies as appropriate for a referral. Referrals are welcomed regardless of the applicant's country of application. Program scope and eligibility are determined through the UBC referral process.
How a referral works
Described at a high level, the process typically moves through these stages:
- UBC identifies or refers an eligible student to Immigrate Now.
- The referred student receives access to a dedicated Concierge Program portal.
- Documents are uploaded to the portal and our RCIC team reviews the refusal and the underlying record.
- Reviewer feedback and revisions are exchanged inside the portal.
- Strategy and expected next steps are confirmed with the student.
- Representation proceeds according to the program process.
A dedicated portal for referred UBC students.
Students referred through the Concierge Program receive access to a self-serve portal built specifically and exclusively for UBC students. It is not a general client portal and it is not shared with other lines of our practice.
Documents, written reviewer feedback, revisions, payment, filing confirmation, IRCC updates and the final decision remain together in one secure workflow. That structure keeps the record organized and helps students see exactly where the file stands at any point.
The portal does not rely on scattered email threads or routine phone or video calls. It is a portal based service throughout.

What the review may consider
Depending on the file, our review may examine:
- Refusal reasons and any officer notes on record.
- The original application record and supporting evidence.
- Program rationale and academic fit.
- Financial capacity and documentation.
- Consistency of the overall narrative and supporting documents.
- Prior Canadian and other immigration history.
- Meaningful changes since the first application.
What may follow
Depending on the facts, the recommended path may be a strengthened reapplication, the assembly of additional records to address a specific concern, or a different recommendation where a reapplication is not the most sensible next step.
For eligible students referred through the program, immigration representation is arranged through UBC's Concierge Program and the student is not charged by Immigrate Now for that referred service. Program scope and eligibility are determined through the UBC referral process.
Information reviewed July 2026. This page describes a specific institutional arrangement and does not create a client relationship. If you are a UBC student whose study permit has been refused, please contact UBC directly to ask whether a referral is available in your situation.
A few things students and families ask.
Can a student self-refer to Immigrate Now through the program?
No. The program is not open to self-referral. Eligibility is determined through UBC's referral process.
Does a referral guarantee a successful outcome?
No. A referral means the file will be reviewed carefully by our RCIC team. It does not predict or guarantee an approval. Every reapplication is decided on its own record.
What kind of documents may be reviewed?
Typically the refusal letter, the original application, GCMS or ATIP notes where relevant, program acceptance and academic materials, financial documentation and any explanation of changes since the first application.
Is there any limitation to which countries the UBC referral works to the concierge?
No. We work with students from more than 140 countries. As long as UBC refers your application to us through the Concierge Program, we would be happy to work with you regardless of where you are applying from.
How do referred students work with the Immigrate Now team?
Referred students receive access to a self-serve portal built specifically and exclusively for UBC Concierge Program students. Documents are uploaded there, our reviewers and RCIC team leave feedback and guide revisions there, and updates, comments and next steps stay together in that portal. The workflow does not rely on scattered email threads or routine phone or video calls.
